In an increasingly complex global supply chain, responsible business practices are no longer optional. For manufacturing enterprises, particularly in the textile and garment industry, Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have become essential foundations for sustainable growth, long-term partnerships, and operational resilience.

At Thai Son S.P, responsibility is not treated as a separate initiative or short-term project. Instead, it is embedded into daily operations, workforce management, and the company’s ongoing engagement with stakeholders.

Participation in RBC Training in Japan: A Proactive and Forward-Looking Step

In early 2026, Thai Son S.P participated in a Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) training program in Japan, organized within the framework of international cooperation and capacity building.

The training provided:

  • Updated insights into global RBC trends and evolving buyer expectations
  • Practical perspectives on integrating RBC into management and operational systems
  • Exposure to international best practices in labor governance and ethical manufacturing
  • Opportunities to exchange experiences with enterprises from different countries

The program featured contributions from leading institutions and experts, including:

  • The International Labour Organization (ILO)
  • The International Organisation of Employers (IOE)
  • Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)
  • Japan Business Federation (Keidanren)
  • Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA)
  • Japan Apparel and Fashion Industry Council (JAFIC)

Beyond classroom learning, the program included on-site visits to Japanese companies and manufacturing facilities, allowing participants to observe how RBC principles are embedded into daily operations, workforce management, and corporate culture.

During the program, Thai Son had the opportunity to visit and learn from Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Panasonic Corporation, Miki House Co., Ltd., and ASICS Corporation, gaining practical insights into how responsible business conduct is systematically integrated into corporate governance and production practices.

Overall, this participation reflects Thai Son’s humble, learning-oriented mindset and its commitment to aligning with international standards while strengthening responsible and sustainable manufacturing practices.

From Compliance to Responsible Business Conduct (RBC)

In recent years, global expectations have gradually shifted from compliance-based audits toward risk-based and people-centered approaches, commonly referred to as Responsible Business Conduct (RBC).

RBC focuses on:
  • Integrating responsibility into daily business decisions
  • Strengthening internal governance and leadership accountability
  • Actively listening to workers and responding to emerging risks
  • Building a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture

Recognizing this shift, Thai Son S.P proactively seeks opportunities to deepen its understanding of RBC and translate these principles into practical, operational realities.

People at the Center of Responsible Business

At Thai Son S.P, responsible business begins with respect for people. Beyond policies and procedures, the company places strong emphasis on the physical and mental well-being of employees.

Factory leadership and management:

  • Actively observe workplace conditions and employee morale
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with employees
  • Value feedback as an important input for continuous improvement

Rather than relying solely on formal mechanisms, Thai Son believes that daily presence, listening, and engagement are essential to building trust and a healthy workplace culture.

Promoting Physical and Mental Well-Being through Sports and Activities

Recognizing the importance of work–life balance, Thai Son S.P regularly organizes and encourages participation in sports and wellness activities, including:

  • Badminton
  • Swimming
  • Yoga
  • Internal sports events and friendly competitions

These activities help promote physical health while also:

  • Strengthening teamwork and morale
  • Reducing workplace stress
  • Fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect

Such initiatives are viewed as practical expressions of CSR values embedded into everyday working life.

Fair Compensation and Equal Opportunities for Growth

Thai Son S.P is committed to maintaining fair and transparent wage and bonus policies, ensuring employees are rewarded appropriately for their contributions.

Key principles include:

  • Fairness and consistency in compensation
  • Clear and achievable performance criteria
  • Equal opportunities for career development and advancement

Through structured pathways for growth, Thai Son aims to support long-term employment stability and encourage employees to grow together with the company.

Continuous Improvement as a Core Value

Thai Son S.P understands that responsible business is a continuous journey rather than a fixed destination. While the company does not claim perfection, it remains committed to:

  • Ongoing learning and capacity building
  • Gradual strengthening of internal systems
  • Alignment between compliance, CSR initiatives, and RBC principles
  • Responsible growth alongside partners and stakeholders

Moving forward, Thai Son S.P remains committed to continuous learning and to working closely with industry associations and professional organizations, both in Vietnam and internationally, to further integrate Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) into its business operations.

Looking Ahead

As global expectations related to labor rights, human rights, and sustainability continue to evolve, Thai Son S.P remains committed to responsible, ethical, and people-centered business practices.

By building on its SA8000 foundation, embracing Responsible Business Conduct, and investing in employee well-being and continuous improvement, Thai Son S.P strives to remain a reliable and responsible manufacturing partner in the global textile and garment industry.
